One monitor goes black sporadically

Since I've acquired a new monitor, I've noticed that that specific monitor oftentimes goes black for a few seconds without any real reason. It happens especially often, when trying to change the brightness with Twinkle Tray, even if I only change the brightness of another monitor attached to my system.
