[BUG]: Search icon displayed in child mode

Steps to reproduce the bug

1. Set each user profile to have its own settings
2. Set child mode on non-logged in account
3. Switch to "adult" account, no search box available
4. Exit app and go back in to adult account, search icon is available
5. Switch to "child" account - search icon is available
6. Exit app, back to child account - no search icon is availble

Actual behavior

When I switch from a child account that has search disabled to my normal (adult) account - I dont have the search box
I have to exit the app and my adult account has the search box back
but when I switch right from that adult account back to the child account (without exiting) the search box is still available
I have to exit the app again, back to the child account and the search box is missing
but then when I switch to my adult account, the search box is still missing
have to exit the app again, go back into the adult account, and the search box is back
