This study was designed to assess the effectiveness of the Glucowatch Biographer (GWB) a non-invasive CGM device developed by Cygnus. All subjects underwent a baseline analysis using the Medtronic CGMS monitor, then subjects were randomized into GWB (test) and control groups. At 3 and 6 month follow-ups, the participants again wore Medtronic CGMS devices for a period of a few days. At the end of the study duration, A1c measurements were used to compare the two groups.
Sample size | Diabetes Type | Population Group | CGM device | Duration |
---|---|---|---|---|
200 | Type 1 | Children (7-18) | Medtronic CGMS & Cygnus GlucoWatch G2 Biographer (GWB) |
