Mattresses
- There are 26 old/narrow mattresses in women’s dorm (my notes call them “crappy” and I stand by that judgment!)
- Men’s dorm has at least 10 narrow old mattresses.
- 4 narrow crappy ones in family dorm + 4 not so bad narrow mattresses.
- So total of at least 40 narrow mattresses.
What are the chances we can replace the uncomfortable foam mattresses with more comfortable foam mattresses? -- Amy, 2021-03-31
We used to have a program, for several years, that we were replacing 5 - 10 mattresses a year with mattresses from Ikea (?). I believe most of these mattresses ended up in the women's dorm. -- Phil, 2021-03-31
Most wound up in the men’s dorm. All but 4 of the women’s bunks are too narrow for the Ikea mattresses (although they are MUCH better than the old beat down foam). -- Kate, 2021-03-31

Youth mattresses are softer foam, adult weight persons will likely compress them excessively and they won't be very durable. --Matt, 2022-06-15
The link Michael shared had reviews saying they were only mattress toppers and too thin to be used alone. So we should definitely research a bit on quality before deciding on the cheapest. --Kate, 2022-06-16
