What's Bartender?

Bartender is an utility mod for Minecraft 1.12.2. It is designed for 8b8t.xyz anarchy server. Keep in mind that some of Bartender's features may not work on servers other than 8b8t, as they rely on 8b8t's server environment. Future releases will be designed to adapt into any changes 8b's environment may come across.

Some of Bartender's features need hacks from other clients in order to work properly. See the list here. You can use any hack client alongside Bartender, but only Impact and Kami BLUE are tested to be compatible by the Bartender creator DrunkShulker.

Tested and developed on Windows. No macOS testing is done so far. So if you are a macOS user, please contact DrunkShulker on Discord and report if it worked or not.

Pull requests are not welcome. Make your modifications to your own forks.

Installation

1. It is recommended that you create a fresh instance of Minecraft for the Bartender installation. At least make a copy of your .minecraft directory so you have a backup in case anything goes wrong with the installation.
2. Install Forge for Minecraft 1.12.2.
3. If you want to use other hack clients with Bartender, install them at this point. Some of Bartender's features need hacks from other clients in order to work properly. See the list of required hacks here. Impact and Kami BLUE are probably the best way to go, as Bartender was developed and tested with them.
4. Download the latest release .jar of Bartender from releases.
5. Move the release .jar into mods folder in your Minecraft directory.
6. Make sure you have C:\tmp folder in your system. if it does not exist, create it
7. Launch Minecraft. The custom Forge loading screen will appear the second time you launch Minecraft.

Updating Bartender

1. When a new version is available, Bartender sends a notification in game chat.
2. Once you see this notification, go to releases and get the latest release .jar.
3. Replace release .jar with the new one in your .minecraft/mods directory.
4. Note that updating to a new version will reset all of your Bartender settings!
5. Launch Minecraft.

Report bugs

• You can report bugs/crashes/problems in issues. Please describe the problem in detail and include the steps to reproduce.
• Before reporting anything, see if you problem is already aswered here.
• Compatibility issues with utility mods other than Impact and Kami BLUE are most likely ignored!
