Role of the Map

Homepage Map

The homepage map is predominantly a service for people looking for info on where to find a hackspace, or more info on other hackspaces. As such, they don't care whether said spaces are members of the foundation or not, they just care that they are "hackspace-like".

Thus, we need to support ways of maintaining a map of all "hackspace-like" spaces, irrespective of whether they are members. Nonetheless, it desirable to be able to indicate "member spaces" (e.g. by different pin icon) - either on the homepage map or a secondary Members Map page.
