Using yascroll together with selectrum or vertico, the minibuffer will shrink whenever the frame scrolls, until another key is pressed.
One way to observe this is to place the cursor at the bottom of the frame, then open a selectrum/vertico menu with multiple selections. Opening the menu will cause the frame to scroll, which shrinks the minibuffer to a single line, when it should open with multiple lines; pressing any key will redraw the minibuffer at the correct size.
This is more of an issue with commands provided by consult, e.g. consult-line, which scroll the frame on each selection. When yascroll-bar-mode is active, the minibuffer is constantly being shrunk, making it hard to see its contents.
