From 2022-2024, DePaul University partnered with the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and multiple community organizations to expand ChiVes and make it more accessible. Thanks to funding by NASA, the latest release of ChiVes includes expanded learning resources, new data, and improved user experience.
This release incorporates the final updates from this collaboration, including:
- 6 additional data variables (for a total of 22 across the project period)
- Updated UI/UX to ensure a more useful and response site
- Expanded and re-ordered resource guide with 7 new items added
- Updated homepage to highlight new features and engage users more directly
- New Learn section with three tutorials and video walkthrough
- Updated navigation bar and item organization
The groundwork for a long-term roadmap has further been developed, and will be formalized in future iterations.
