Releases: modelica-3rdparty/ExternalMedia
v4.0.0
ExternalMedia version 4.0.0 works out of the box on two operating systems, Windows and Linux, and on at least two Modelica tools, Dymola and OpenModelica. The latests available CoolProp code is included. No need to compile the binaries yourself, no special installation procedure required, as the released package already includes all the pre-compiled binaries.
Version 4.0.0 is essentially the same as version 3.3.2, except that it now uses the Modelica Standard Library (MSL) 4.0.0.
If you are converting an old model or library using MSL 3.2.3 and ExternalMedia 3.3.2 to use MLS 4.0.0 and ExternalMedia 4.0.0, there is no conversion script to be run for ExternalMedia. However, version 4.0.0 of ExternalMedia is backwards-incompatible with version 3.2.3, since it depends on version 4.0.0 of MSL, that is incompatible with the version 3.2.3 of MSL that was used by ExternalMedia 3.3.2.
v3.3.2
ExternalMedia version 3.3.2 is at last working out of the box on two operating systems, Windows and Linux, and on at least two Modelica tools, Dymola and OpenModelica. The latests available CoolProp code is included. No need to compile the binaries yourself, no special installation procedure required, as the released package already includes all the pre-compiled binaries.
Version 3.3.2 is still using the Modelica Standard Library 3.2.3, so it can be used for legacy models. Further bugfix versions, e.g., 3.3.3, may be provided if critical bugs are found and resolved. New versions of the library from 4.0.0 will use Modelica Standard Library 4.x.x.
