GEMS - GIS Enforcing Metadata and Semantics tool
GEMS - GIS Enforcing Metadata & Semantics, is a piece of Java software currently developed by the FAO Fishery & Aquaculture Department to automate the batch creation and web-publication of GIS layers and their associated metadata respectively in GeoServer and GeoNetwork.
GEMS has been funded by:
- the UN FAO FI Department, as part of the Fisheries Global Information System (FIGIS)
- the EC FP7 i-Marine project
