User Interface Explained

Better CMS has an intuitive user interface designed to help you make updates to your website content and SEO settings quickly and efficiently. When you first login to Better CMS, you will see a menu on the left side of your screen. This side menu contains all of the controls you’ll need to make changes to your website.

Side Menu

Better CMS features on-page editing. This enables a user to edit a content on the web page and see exactly what it will look like when the page is live. All of the tools you will need to make changes to your website are located in the side menu, which can be stuck to the left or right side of your screen.

  1. Show / hide side menu
  2. Enable / disable content editing.
  3. Indicates if page is published.
  4. Move side menu to the left / right or up / down.
  5. Edit page SEO information.
  6. Logout button.
  7. Delete opened page.
  8. Better CMS version number.
  9. Open Better CMS site settings: widgets, layouts, media manager, etc.
  10. View and edit page properties information.
  11. Create new blog post, enter title, content in HTML or Markdown, choose an image, assign to category, add tags.
  12. Translate page.
  13. Clone page, change page title and URL.
  14. Add new page, enter page title, URL, choose page template.
  15. Logged in user name. If using Better CMS membership, by clicking username user is able to change profile's information and change password.
  16. Publish / unpublish page.
  17. Preview current page as anonymous.
